Gibson ES-175D

1961

A fantastic instrument equipped with its two original PAFs. Sent back to Gibson in 1973 for neck repair, it came out with a new one, hence the volute behind the headstock, typical of that era. It’s a sound instrument, in very good condition with its original parts: pickups, knobs, tailpiece, bridge, pots, pickguard. The tuners are quality reproductions, and the originals, whose knobs had crumbled, are in the case. The neck is straight and very playable. The frets have plenbty of meat left; they can’t be very old, I think, and you’ll have them for a while. The two pickups are obviously fabulous, very precise. You know the deal. Many of these ES-175s have unfortunately been stripped of their PAFs, it’s actually become quite difficult to find one with its original pickups.

This ES-175D comes with its period correct case.
