Gibson ES-345 TD

1963

Made in the Kalamazoo factory in 1963, this ES-345 is a truly incredible instrument. There’s a balance and perfection in these wide-neck models that isn’t found after the transition period in 1965. Equipped with two excellent Patent Number pickups from the generation just after the PAFS, this 345 delivers a full and warm sound; it’s clear, precise, and has excellent sustain. This particular model has a discreet, well-repaired break on the back of the headstock, the classic fishhook shape. This instrument has all its original hardware and has never had a Bigsby or tailpiece. The Varitone is still functional and offers a wide range of sounds. It’s no longer in stereo but in mono—a small modification that’s more than common on these models. The guitar is an immense pleasure to play. The neck plays like butter, it’s precise and totally intuitive.Everything seems easy and obvious. It sounds so good, even unplugged.

Comes in its original hardshell case.
