Fender Jaguar Lake Placid Blue Green Guard

This Jaguar is not only sublime but it is also an absolutely remarkable musical instrument. It sounds so good and the neck is a real killer. It is slightly flamed on the edges. It is absolutely perfect. The sliding switches work well, the vibrato is smooth and responsive. This is a model from the famous L series as you can see on the plate on the back. It dates from the beginning of 1965, the neck has mother-of-pearl markers and has no binding on the edges. It sports the much sought-after green guard.

So this is a guitar that from a collection point of view ticks all the boxes in my opinion: it is rare, it is beautiful, it works very well and it is 100% original down to the smallest screw. Not a single solder is broken, which is crucial on a custom color. Indeed, to refinish a guitar of this kind, it is imperative to unsolder the pickups wires on the pots. Having intact welds is therefore one of the ways to ensure the originality of the finish. It’s not the only thing to watch but its’ an important one.  The frets are also original and in good condition. The general condition is excellent, with really minimal wear for a guitar of this age. The finish is nicely aged and the color has changed very little over the years, you can see the original shade under the pickguard, the difference is slight compared to what I have seen in the past. The package is complete, even the small bridge cover, which you will quickly remove to play, is there. This Jaguar is truly stunning. Of course it comes in its original hard case.
