Beautiful Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster reproducing the features of an early-1960s Strat, finished in elegant black.

This guitar was built by the Fender Custom Shop in February 1998. It features a beautiful highly figured maple neck, with extensive birdseye figuring visible throughout. Rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, vintage-style Fender tuners and white nut. It is an absolute pleasure to play, with a particularly comfortable and well-shaped neck.

The guitar is currently fitted with FlameTone pickups, and the original pickup set is also included. They can easily be reinstalled if desired, although the guitar sounds particularly good with the FlameTones.

The original Fender Custom Shop Certificate of Authenticity, documentation, Fender strap and tweed case are all included.

The black finish shows some normal signs of use and minor marks, as expected from a guitar approaching 30 years old, but overall it remains in very clean condition.
