Gibson SG standard

1981

Excellent early-1980s Gibson SG Standard, equipped with a Tarback pickup in the neck position and an early PAF reissue in the bridge.

The guitar is in very good overall condition and plays beautifully, with the long neck and effortless upper-fret access that are so characteristic of the SG. It has suffered no breaks or repairs, and the frets are in good condition.

The electronics cavity has been shielded with conductive tape, and the bridge has been replaced with a Gotoh. There are of course a few marks and signs of wear in the finish — after all, this is a rock ’n’ roll guitar, and we’re certainly not going to complain about that. It stays in tune well and is ready to play.

A very cool vintage SG for players and musicians looking for a genuine vintage instrument without breaking the bank.
