Stromberg Voisinet

1920

A restored  and improved instrument that truly deserved it.
These models are often overlooked and usually found in conditions that make them difficult to play properly. The goal of this restoration was to turn it into a stable, fully playable instrument. It has therefore undergone a neck reset, and the fingerboard—originally made of stained fruitwood—has been replaced with ebony, no less.

It plays really well, with the characteristic tone of 1920s parallel-braced guitars: clearly mid-focused and very bluesy. The projection is quite impressive, but above all it is the tone—the aged wood—that really makes the difference. Most of the Art Deco painted designs are still present.

It retains its original tuners, housed in a closed headstock with an original design. A suprising instrument, and certainly one of the few examples of this model that is truly playable.

Comes with a soft case.
