Gibson J-160E

1964

SOLD

The 1964 Gibson J-160E is an iconic acoustic-electric guitar from the 1960s, and one that is clearly associated with the Beatles. It features a jumbo body with a spruce top and a mahogany body. Its distinctive feature is its single-coil pickup mounted directly on the top, near the fingerboard, which gives it a somewhat raw sound character, somewhere between acoustic and electric. Used by John Lennon and George Harrison, among others, it has become a cult guitar, with a simple, classic look: black pickguard, cream binding, and a beautiful rosewood fingerboard. Not flashy, but full of personality. This particular model is in good condition. It should be noted that the electronics were replaced a few years ago. It works perfectly and the playability is excellent. Comes with a hardshell case.
