Gibson Firebird III non-reverse

1965

As we say in french: Olala !

What a neck and what a sound. This non-reverse 1965 Firebird is in excellent condition. 1020 made in 1965, but you will find very few in this condition. The neck is a wonder with a width of 1 9/16 at the nut and a round and meaty profile. Very comfortable and ultra playable all the way down. I just set it up and checked it. I was able to lower the action down to 2mm at the low E at the 12th fret and 1.2mm at the high E. No buzzes, it plays perfectly. The instrument is completely original and without any repairs or modifications. The 3 P90 pickups are original and sound excellent. The neck position is insane, the middle position offers a very interesting out-of-phase sound (middle/bridge), finally the bridge pickup alone is very sharp as expected. Everything is there. To be exhaustive, let us mention that the pickguard is a little cracked as always around the screws, the varnish shows a nice cracking and quite light wear, the original case is present, it is missing 2 locks and part of the interior compartment but it is there. The Firebird logo is still there and in excellent condition, it’s rare enough to point out. You won’t let go of her.
