Fender Mustang Dakota Red

1966

The 1966 Fender Mustang Dakota Red is a compact guitar, originally designed for students but quickly becoming much more widely adopted. Which is quite normal given the quality and effort put into these entry-level instruments. The body is made of alder, with a bolt-on maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard. It is also equipped with a height-adjustable dynamic tremolo, as well as a floating bridge. A fairly complete instrument. The scale length is short, 24 inches, which makes it easier to play. It is equipped with two single-coil pickups, controlled by independent switches that allow for several combinations, including in-phase and out-of-phase sounds. This configuration is somewhat unique for Fender, and offers quite a few tonal possibilities. This instrument is original and in very good condition, with no repairs or modifications. Original hardshell case included.
