Marshall JCM 800

1982

Marshall JCM 800 Lead Series 4104 combo, made in England (Bletchley), dated 1982.
50-watt all-tube amplifier, 2×12 format, fitted with two original Celestion G12-65 speakers (15 Ω).

Clean, functional front panel: High/Low inputs, preamp volume, master volume, bass / middle / treble EQ, and presence. Typical single-channel JCM 800 architecture, designed for dynamics and playing response rather than versatility. 110/240 V voltage selector on the rear.

Cosmetic condition shows honest age: patinated tolex, corners and chassis with signs of use, with no apparent inconsistencies or visible modifications. The amp retains a coherent and credible overall appearance for its age. It was located in Brittany, close to the sea, and therefore shows some corrosion on one of the speakers, which nonetheless works perfectly.

An authentic JCM 800 combo: powerful, direct, mid-focused, built for rock and hard rock, with the dry, cutting character typical of Marshall amplifiers from this era.
