All guitars have a story, but this one has one that I really like, as it’s an instrument that was brought to me at the Landéda shop recently. It almost went to the dump, but the owners were happy they didn’t when I told them what it was worth… Grateful, they gave it to me for consignment. They were clearing out the house. The uncle was a musician. He died in 1982. So it hadn’t been played for a while, and yet what an instrument. After a little cleaning and a good setup, it is now ready for the next owner, and it’s a truly exceptional instrument. It would look almost new if the plastic tone knob hadn’t been repaired, as the varnish is in excellent condition, except on the lower side where there are some signs of wear, but overall, the condition is truly remarkable for an instrument of this period. It still has its original pickups and potentiometers and has not undergone any modifications or repairs. It comes with a recent quality Gator hardshell case with royal blue velvet interior that we just bought for it because it deserves it.
