Gretsch 6120 Nashville Chet Atkins

1966

Made in the Gretsch factory in August 1966, this Nashville Chet Atkins remains an exceptional instrument to this day. This superb instrument is well-preserved and fully functional. The binding, often a weak point on Gretsch guitars of this era, is in good condition here, without excessive shrinkage or problematic cracking, which is very rare for an instrument of this generation. The guitar is very playable, with a comfortable neck and low, consistent action. The Filter’Tron pickups offer the classic Gretsch sound; they are powerful pickups with a beautiful bass and bright treble. It’s a very well-balanced instrument. The body resonates well; it’s light and lively. A very fine example of an iconic Gretsch model. In its original hardshell case.
