Gibson ES-335 TDC

1964

Here is an original stop tail ES-335 TDC. Serial Number 67537. According to Gibson ledgers it left the Kalamazoo factory on May 19th of 1964, one day before that of Clapton number 67473, leaving May 20, 1964. They may have been on the bench together. This is an original stop tail model that has never had a Bigsby. The pickups are original, never opened. The electronics are intact, all solders joint are clean and untouched. The original finish is still pretty vibrant and has moderate wear, mainly located on the back of the neck. It feels amazing, the 64 neck profile is really unique. They got it just right. It’s a really lively guitar and the notes literally jump out of the board. This guitar is completely original, without any break or repair. Only the tune-o-matic is a very good Callaham piece, the original ABRs having a certain tendency to sag in the middle making adjustment near impossible. An ABR with metal saddles from the late sixties is also supplied with the guitar, it is in the case. It comes with its original Lifton hard case which is in very good condition. All lathes and hinges functional. Exterior and interior very clean. Don’t miss it !
