Gibson ES-335 TD Pelham Blue
1967
An original Pelham Blue es-335. How cool is that? All original electronics. No Breaks. Potentiometer code on all pots match. Code reads 41st week of 1966. Original black beauty caps, and original patent sticker pickups. 2 of the screws holding tuners have been replaced, as with pickguard chrome bracket. This one toured and played all over the US. The original case lining stuck to the side of the neck during a hot summer 15 years ago. The neck was reset, it was a precaution to ensure solid neck joint after exposure to heat. By the way the little sanding in the neck pickup area that was necessary for this operation clearly shows it never had any other paint than pelham blue. No sunburst, no cherry anywhere. It’s a beautiful colour that has faded a bit, hard to picture but hopefully you can see it has faded and turned to green in some areas. You can see some of the original colour around the switch tip for instance or on the side of the F holes. The neck has some impressions that have been touched up on the side where the lining was stuck but the original colour wasn’t messed or oversprayed. The headstock and the neck have never been cracked or repaired. Pickups show 7.6k bridge, 7.8k neck. Original bridge and tailpiece. Original Tuners. Guitar comes in a Norms rare guitar case shown in pictures. If any additional pictures are needed feel free to ask. Thanks!
