Fender Telecaster

1966

Probably the coolest Tele you’ll see today. This Telecaster is absolutely fantastic. This is typically the kind of instrument that I struggle to find for you all year round. It has incredible mojo, you immediately feel when you put your hands on it that it has something. The fingerboard is super nice, the neck profile is perfect, the (re)fret flawless. The original celluo finish naturally aged, such a nice piece to look at. The weight is ideal, only 3,5kg. The vintage Rock Against Racism sticker is the cherry on the cake. This festival was set up following racist remarks made on stage by Clapton in 1978 where he gave voting instructions so that England would not become “overcrowded” and a “black colony”…

The knobs were replaced in the 80s but the 2 pickups are original (the bridge rewound). It comes with its original case: a vintage Hagstrom for Fender. Hagtsrom had been importing Fender guitars since 1963 and as in France or England with Selmer, the price of the cases was very dissuasive. Hagtsrom therefore copied and manufactured original cases in Sweden for its imports. This is one of those, it’s pretty cool too.
