Rickenbacher NS
1948
This one doesn’t make me feel any younger either since the last time I saw it was 14 years ago… As far as I’m concerned in the world of lap steel there is Rickenbacker and the rest, you will note that at that time the name was not yet Americanized and is still written Rickenbacher with an H. The horseshoe pickups are absolutely crazy, the output level is phenomenal, it’s biting and aggressive with a small vintage tube amp, it’s really astounding and every time I wonder how rock n roll wasn’t invented earlier. Easy to say after the fact, but everything was there and available. The original varnish is in very good condition. It’s a sort of Silverburst that Gibson probably took inspiration from for its Les Paul a few decades later. The condition of this instrument is excellent, it should be noted that it has slightly more recent tuners that were already there 14 years ago. In the meantime, its owner had a custom case made for it, which is included. It allows you to travel with peace of mind. Likewise, if it needs to be shipped to you, you can rest easy knowing the case is indestructible.
