Del Vecchio Cavanquinho/Ukulele

1960s

This Brazilian instrument, made by Del Vecchio, is a rarity dating back to the 1960s. It’s a cavaquinho fitted with an aluminum resonator and a biscuit like the National instruments of the late 1920s and 1930s. You can also set it up as a ukulele or play it in GDAE tuning like a mandolin. It’s a very versatile instrument.  It sounds really good, and for good reason: it’s made entirely of Brazilian Rosewood. The pickup is excellent with a very high output. The original pickguard bear the name of the original owner, Toninho. Ready to play.
