Gibson L-0

Here’s one I’m happy to see again. The L-0 is a cousin of the better-known L-00. The main difference is that these are built with a mahogany top. Also X braced, they are quite charming and have a voice all their own. A little brighter than the spruce models. But the big difference here compared to the vast majority of L-00s, L-1s, and L-0s is the raised fingerboard, which provides exceptional dynamics and response. And the tone is truly incredible; exactly what you’d expect from an excellent Gibson of this era. The notes are beautifully separated and well-defined. Very distinct. It’s rich, solid, and so subtle. The instrument is in excellent condition, with no repairs. The action is excellent, as is the angle. A gem for fingerpickers, folk players, and other fans of Americana. In a modern hardshell case.
