Silvertone 1448 Amp in case

1960s

How cool are these little Silvertones. At the time sold by the Sears catalog, this beginner pack, easy to store under the bed, was a big success. Many young Americans had this instrument as their first electric guitar and it can be found in so many recordings that it is impossible to count them. This model in particular is very well preserved. Its glitter finish is in beautiful condition. The neck is straight and easy to play. All the electronics of the guitar, like the amp, work very well. The amp case is still 110V and requires a 110/220 adapter for Europeans. By the way, it would be preferable to install a grounded outlet because it obviously does not meet current electrical standards as it stands.
