Martin 000-21
1950
This Martin flat top was indeed made in 1950. The photos speak for themselves. It’s quite incredible and very rare to find one in such good condition. It’s a guitar without cracks and perfectly playable. We can sometimes say that a guitar that doesn’t have a mark hasn’t been played much and that therefore it could sound less than another. I assure you that this is not the case and you will quickly realize it, I think in less than 10 seconds, because it sounds really very very good, it is both smooth and round. We find the brilliance that is so popular in these guitars with precise and very clear treble, but it is not too bright. The rosewood of course brings this slightly explosive side with a great projection and a roundness in the bass which makes it a really very complete guitar. It is just an instrument that has been taken care of and for good reason it seems to me quite exceptional from a sonic point of view. Now, as for the construction itself, it’s impeccable. All the bars are well glued, the bridge is original, of course, as are the tuners. There’s nothing to complain about. The neck angle is perfect, and the guitar is playable all over the neck. It comes with a hardshell case and a vintage one if you like. If you’re looking for a really good Martin, this is definitely it.
