Gibson Hummingbird
1967
If there’s one guitar associated with folk and flower power, it’s the Hummingbird. This one left the Gibson workshops as protests against the Vietnam War grew in 1967. It’s an instrument with strong symbolic and aesthetic value. This particular model is in very good condition. Note that the original adjustable saddle has been replaced with a fixed one. Indeed, many players complain that the adjustable system kills the sound; this is a common modification. The finish has been very well redone, and this is a guitar with real character. Play any Stones song and you’re right there. The neck, although a 1/9 16″ model, is quite rounded and easy to play. In a non-original period hardshell case.
