Gibson ES-355
1961
Only 174 made in 1961.
It is in very good condition, as you can see.
It should be noted that the binding along the fingerboard appears to have been replaced. It is equipped with two PAFs, one of which is missing, or no longer has, the label, which is relatively common. Both pickups have clear “L” tool marks on both legs. Under the custom-made plate, which is not original, are two anchors for a stop bridge, which does not appear to be original. It is a little too far from the original ABR-1, I think. That said, it can very easily be switched to stop and have a perfectly in-tune and stable guitar if you prefer that to a vibrato. It is still in stereo; the cable is included and present in the case. The varitone works well and has its original small round knob. The other volume and tone knobs are replicas. No breakage on the neck or heel; it’s a sound instrument that vibrates very well. Original Finish with no touch ups. Original pickguard. Original tuners and sideways vibrato. Original pickups and rings.
Original hard shell case.
