Fender Stratocaster sunburst.

1970

This guitar has been played so much! It’s quite rare to find instruments where the feeling is immediately there. From the first time you pick it up, you can tell it’s an instrument that’s been played its whole life. It already sounds great unplugged. The marks are there, but the guitar is largely original overall. It’s worth noting that a few wires have been replaced, but the original electronics and pickups are still there. This is likely for functionality or to eliminate electromagnetic interference. Nothing more common for a playing instrument. The selector switch is still the original 3-way, which suggests the owner wasn’t the type to change everything all the time, but only what was necessary. Before you ask: the hand-engraved numbers on the serial number plate are an American tradition: social security number, driving license number, phone number, you name it, just in case of theft. Well that was before AirTags.

It has that classic late-’60s Strat sound, completely Hendrixian. It’s clear, articulate, dynamic, and warm all at once. It comes with its original case, which has accompanied it throughout its life’s adventures. It has been customized and is still fully functional. A fantastic instrument for both players and collectors, offering both top-notch performance and definite historical interest.
