Rickenbacker Model B6

1937

A couple of decades before the Beatles, Rickenbacker was already making fantastic instruments. This model from the golden age of the brand is equipped with the famous horse shoe pickup. In my humble opinion one of the best and hottest pickup ever designed. The instrument has had some modifications to the electronics which are visible on the chrome plates. However, the original elements have fortunately been preserved and it is today in its original configuration. The tuners have been modified but work well. The knob is a newer Rickenbacker. It’s a player and what a player! If you are looking for a good lap this one is simply the best you can find, again this is only my opinion, but being a lap player myself for almost 30 years I have never found better than these models, including Gibson. In a period case with a nice little wooden handle.
