{"id":28441,"date":"2025-02-23T15:26:23","date_gmt":"2025-02-23T14:26:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vintageguitars.fr\/en\/product\/fender-jaguar-lake-placid-blue-green-guard\/"},"modified":"2025-02-23T15:32:41","modified_gmt":"2025-02-23T14:32:41","slug":"fender-jaguar-lake-placid-blue-green-guard","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/vintageguitars.fr\/en\/produit\/fender-jaguar-lake-placid-blue-green-guard\/","title":{"rendered":"Fender Jaguar Lake Placid Blue Green Guard"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">This Jaguar is not only sublime but it is also an absolutely remarkable musical instrument.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">It sounds so good and the neck is a real killer.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">It is slightly flamed on the edges.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">It is absolutely perfect.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The sliding switches work well, the vibrato is smooth and responsive.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">This is a model from the famous L series as you can see on the plate on the back.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">It dates from the beginning of 1965, the neck has mother-of-pearl markers and has no binding on the edges.<\/span><\/span> I<span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">t sports the much sought-after green guard.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">So this is a guitar that from a collection point of view ticks all the boxes in my opinion: it is rare, it is beautiful, it works very well and it is 100% original down to the smallest screw.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Not a single solder is broken, which is crucial on a custom color.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Indeed, to refinish a guitar of this kind, it is imperative to unsolder the pickups wires on the pots.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Having intact welds is therefore one of the ways to ensure the originality of the finish. It&#8217;s not the only thing to watch but its&#8217; an important one.\u00a0<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The frets are also original and in good condition.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"> The general condition is excellent, with really minimal wear for a guitar of this age.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The finish is nicely aged and the color has changed very little over the years, you can see the original shade under the pickguard, the difference is slight compared to what I have seen in the past.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"> The package is complete, even the small bridge cover, which you will quickly remove to play, is there.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"> This Jaguar is truly stunning.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"> Of course it comes in its original hard case.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This Jaguar is not only sublime but it is also an absolutely remarkable musical instrument.
